Google was started in 1996 by two students Larry Page and Sergey Brin,at Stanford University USA.It used to be called Back rub. Later, they made it into a company, Google Inc., on September 7, 1998 at a friend's garage in Men lo Park, California. In February 1999, the company moved to 165 University Ave. Pa lo Alto, California. And Later it moved to another place, now called the "Googleplex".

                          

                            How Google makes money-

Google makes money by advertising. People or companies who want that every-user  visit their website from Google because of its popularity and give  money to Google, and The work of Google is to shows an advertisement to people regarding(Electronic items,websites,clothes)etc. Google only gets money when a user click on the link, so it tries to know as much  people as possible to only show the advertisement to the "right people" and this can be done by using Google Analytic,which sends data back to Google whenever someone visits a web site and you can track custom links using Google Analytic.
